Product Description

The GPB328 is a versatile midspan device that combines Gigabit Ethernet and PoE+ range extension with power injection and boosting
capabilities. Each unit may be installed up to 500ft from an upstream PoE or standard Gigabit switch and provides an additional 500 ft of
Gigabit Ethernet and IEEE 802.3af/at PoE transmission. Additionally, multiple GPB328’s may also be connected in series without loss of
signal integrity to provide unparalleled transmission extension with the benefit of optional power reinjection at any GPB328 along the run.
The GPB328 may be powered either by a PoE source connected to one of the Ethernet ports or by using the external DC PS48 supply
(also included). When locally powered, the unit functions as a PoE+ injector for non PoE switches and also boosts PoE output back up to
full IEEE802.3at levels, providing a maximum output of 30W, to compensate for losses due to long distances and upstream PoE devices.
The GPB328 is easy to use with true plug-n-play installation. Simply connect the device to the transmission line and appropriate power
source and allow the device to initialize. The LEDs indicate power, link status, and PoE output status for simple troubleshooting.
The unit is built from industrial grade, RoHS compliant anodized aluminum, providing excellent durability and corrosion resistance as well
as being backed by a full Limited Lifetime Warranty.
