The EL1500U can be used on new or existing cable installs, and is designed to greatly extend the link distance to IP network devices, such as IP video cameras.
Product Description
Nitek’s Etherstretch EL1500U system provides up to 600 meters of 10/100 network connectivity and PoE over standard CAT5e or CAT6 network cable (an increase of 600% over the typical 100 meter limit).
The transmitter and receiver set requires very little installation time and absolutely no setup or configuration. It is transparent to the network and has no IP or MAC addressing.
The ET1500U receiver is powered from a PoE enabled switch. In applications where the network switch is not PoE capable, an optional power supply (Nitek PS48) can be used to insert power into the receiver’s DC jack.
Connect any network device (such as an IP network camera) at the far end to the ET1500U transmitter for 10/100 Ethernet connectivity and PoE power. In unique cases where high power PoE is needed at the far end device, an optional Nitek PS48 power supply can inject up to 25 watts of PoE to the transmitter.
