The Nitek Etherstretch Lyte™ ET1243C IP device over Coax Network Extender Transmitter, is a network extender-PoE Inserter component. The ET1243C operates with one of the Nitek Etherstretch Lyte Receivers, either an ER8200C (8 port), ER16200C (16 port) or ER24200C (24 port) IP extender “over-Coax” system. The system transmits IP devices over coax and can quickly turn any ordinary RG59U coaxial cable into a high speed network communication & PoE path. When operating over RG59U coaxial cable, the coax network extender system can operate for distances of up to 350 meters (1150 feet). ET1243C Transmitter is part of a system that operates in conjunction with a standard PoE network switch. (Network switches are not provided by Nitek and are a separate component needed to complete the system).The ET1243C Coax Ethernet Extender requires very little installation and set time. The ET1243C is transparent to the network and has no IP or MAC addressing. Simply connect your network devices to the network port of the transmitter along with existing coaxial cabling and the system begins communicating. LED indicators show the status of network communication and PoE power.
